Submitting an Application
The Institute application process is fast and easy. Simply complete the online application form and pay a flat application fee to apply to the Advanced Conducting Academy, Conducting Choral Masterpieces, the Prelude Audition and Competitions Academy or Mastering the Concerto Course. The Institute accepts applications to more than one program so be sure to indicate your program preference on the form. You are just 3 quick steps from completing your application.

  2.  Provide 2 contrasting video clips.
  3.  Submit the $45 application fee.

Advanced Conducting Academy $3,095 US
Advanced Academy conductors receive approximately of 150 minutes of podium time with full orchestra, 60 minutes with piano sextet, 60 minutes of video review with faculty plus all lectures and group instruction and 14 nights with breakfast in a semi-private hotel room. Those choosing the “Conducting Opera Arias” option for week 1 pay a modest soloist fee of
$50 US for each day they conduct selections the operatic repertoire to contribute towards the soloists’ honoraria. See the Advanced Conducting Academy program page for complete details.

Mastering the Concerto: Conductors $2,595, Soloists $2,095 US
Mastering the Concerto conductors receive 25 minutes of podium time daily plus one 15-20 minute general rehearsal and one concert performance. Soloists receive six 15 to 30 minute instructional sessions with full orchestra, six 10 to 20 minute sessions with string sextet, one general rehearsal and concert performance plus six 30 minute private lessons with Institute artist teachers. Prelude, Audition and Competition Academy $1,495 US
Prelude Academy conductors will receive approximately 250 minutes of podium time during daily morning and evening instructional rehearsals with string quintet and piano, 40 minutes of video review with faculty plus all lectures and masterclasses and 10 nights in a semi-private hotel room with breakfast. Review of Program Fees
The International Institute for Conductors remains committed to offering the most comprehensive training for conductors at the most affordable price. Competing workshops and courses that offer less instruction, less podium time and no performance opportunities remain substantially more expensive than the Institute because our faculty and staff are determined to keep student costs as low as possible.

Conducting Choral Masterpieces $3,195 US
Choral workshop conductors receive over 215 minutes of podium time including sessions with piano sextet and vocal quartet, sextet and full chorus, full orchestra alone, orchestra and full chorus plus 2 general rehearsals and 2 concert performances. Iasi Choir Conducting Fellowship & Singers Residency
The $1,000 US Conducting Fellow tuition is fully underwritten for Fellows who bring 4 to 8 singers to participate in the Singers Residency program and send one student conductor to the Conducting Choral Masterpieces workshop and for those who send 2 student conductors to Conducting Choral Masterpieces. Conducting Fellows who either send 1 student conductor to Conducting Choral Masterpieces or bring 4 to 8 singers to participate in the Singers Residency receive a $500 US grant that covers half the program tuition. Tuition for student vocalists participating in the Singers Residency program is $795. The tuition for all conductors and singers includes a double occupancy hotel room with breakfast. Scholarships and Discounts
Returning Institute alumni receive a US $200 scholarship. Conductors participating in any 2 programs are given a $400 discount. For Mastering the Concerto conductors who recruit a soloist to join them for the course or soloists who recruit a conductor to join them, both parties receive a discount on the course fee ($250 for conductors and $200 for soloists). Discounts cannot be combined with the alumni scholarship.
